Best backcountry skiing in New England - mountain getaway with stunning views! • Jay Peak Resort 3 miles away! • Ski home from Jay Peak via Big Jay! • Backcountry ski 4 mountains from your door! • Backcountry guiding available (15% discount for guests!) • Tour Long Trail, Catamount Trail, Big Jay & Little Jay from here! Our only neighbors are animals in the surrounding mountains & forests. Note: There is an apt in the main house that sleeps 8. Managed by Vermont Mountain Experience.
Nestled between Big Jay, Little Jay, Buchanan Mountain and Domey's Dome is our comfortable mountain home. You will be staying your own home with a beautiful deck and a path down to Jay Brook.
The main living space is the top floor. The kitchen is new as of November 2020. The dining room is right next to it. The master bedroom is very large. Downstairs there are two bunk beds (sleeping 4) and a queen bed.
Jay Brook's relaxing sound can be heard from your deck. The view of the mountains is stunning even when it's cloudy and raining. The starry skies are amazing and wonderful to view while sitting by the fire pit or on the deck. Dry wood is right there for your use.
Jay Peak gets more snow than any other New England resort and we are right there in the same snow pocket. Forecasts usually underestimate our snowfall.
Our home is just off Mountain Road (VT 242) close to Jay Peak. We have streams on each side of the property. Both feed into Jay Brook which runs just below the home and can be heard year-round. We are surrounded by beautiful mountains and woods. This house and our home are the only two places that can been seen or heard from this property.
Hike to the Long Trail from the house.
A 4-mile drive to Jay Peak Ski Resort and Water Park.
